Men’s Cricket

1st XI

Captain: Matt Davies

Our 1st XI compete in the Sussex Premier League, a competition they have won six times in the last decade.

The team’s success has largely been built on a core of players who have progressed through the junior ranks at the Club. The team remains relatively young but with some proven experience in the ranks. Under the current leadership, our 1st XI is determined to achieve further honours both locally and nationally.

2nd XI

Captain: Leigh Harrison

The 2nd XI compete in Division 3 West of the Sussex Cricket League; the team is made up of promising Roffey youngsters together with the experience of some former first team players. This blend of youth and experience has helped establish the team as one of the best 2nd XI sides in the county. As a Club, we have been very successful in developing young players in our 2nd XI, enabling these players to seamlessly transition into Premier League cricket.

3rd XI

Captain: Kyle Fairs

After relegation in 2023, the 3rd XI have dropped down a rung in the Sussex Cricket pyramid and now play in Division 8 West. The team play their home games a short drive away from Roffey, at the Holmbush Ground in Faygate.

This season, the 3rd XI will be looking to regroup and challenge for promotion back to Division 7. This level of cricket provides a fantastic opportunity for our youth players to experience competitive adult cricket and further develop their skills alongside some other talented Roffey players.

4th XI

Captain: Jon Moss

Our 4th XI play in Division 11 West (North) of the Sussex Cricket League as well as numerous friendly matches throughout the summer. Their home games are also played at the Holmbush Ground in Faygate. The team provides an ideal opportunity for those looking to take up the game or play a more friendly style of competitive cricket. The fourth team also offers the first stepping stone for the transition from junior cricket to the senior teams. The cricket provides an environment and opportunity for players to play lots of cricket in order to gain experience but, more importantly, enjoy the game.
