Our 1st XI compete in the Sussex Premier League, a competition they have won five times in the last six years. In between these league successes came a Sussex T20 title and numerous runs in the National Knockout competitions. The most successful season in the team’s history came in 2018 when they won the league and reached Finals’ Day of the National T20, as well as the last four of the National Knockout.
The team’s success has largely been built on a core of players who have progressed through the junior ranks at the club. We have also developed a good relationship with Sydney Cricket Club in Australia which has allowed us to bring in overseas players such as Ben Manenti (Sydney Sixers / NSW Blues). The team remains a relatively young yet experienced side that is determined to achieve further honours both locally and nationally.
The 2nd XI competes in Division 2 of the Sussex Cricket League, and is one of only two second XIs that participate in the second tier of Sussex cricket. Promotion to these heights was achieved in 2019 when the team finished as comprehensive winners of the Division 3 West title. The 2nd XI features a number of promising Roffey youngsters coupled with the experience of some former first team players. This blend of youth and experience has aided the recent rise up the divisions but also the development of future cricketers for the front side.
The team will face new challenges during the 2021 season as they look to compete with 1st XI teams across the county, such as Bognor Regis, Chichester and our neighbours Horsham.
We are extremely proud to have a team in the top two divisions in the county and relish the opportunity to compete at this level.

After successive league winning campaigns in 2018 and 2019 (Division 10 West & Division 9 West), the 3rd XI will be competing in Division 8 West of the Sussex Cricket pyramid in the 2021 season. The team play their games a short drive away from Roffey, at the Holmbush Ground in Faygate. The recent successes of the team have rivalled those achieved by the 1st XI and is a real testament to the commitment shown by Ed and his players.
This season the 3rd XI will be looking to gain a third sequential promotion as they bid to climb the leagues again, whilst also looking to progress through the recently formed Sussex Slam competition. Our third team provides a fantastic opportunity for our youth players to experience competitive adult cricket and further develop their skills alongside some other talented Roffey players.
Our 4th XI play in Division 11 West of the Sussex Cricket League as well as numerous friendly matches throughout the summer. Their home games are also played at the Holmbush Ground in Faygate. The team provides an ideal opportunity for those looking to take up the game or play a more friendly style of competitive cricket. The fourth team also offers the first stepping stone for the transition from junior cricket to the senior teams. The cricket provides an environment and opportunity for players to play lots of cricket in order to gain experience but, more importantly, enjoy the game.
We are very proud of the work that Andy has done over the years, in bringing in many new players and also providing such an inclusive environment. The team has also welcomed a number of touring sides in recent seasons as well as organising a cricket tour to Malta for 3rd and 4th XI players.
